The "HF Manifold"
|
|
Everyone refers to it as the HF manifold but it came on other cars too. it came on the 88-91 CRX HF. it also came on a 88-91 Civic Std, they are hatchbacks with a 4 speed, vinal interior, and a black panel on the hatch that says 'Civic', (base model) Another car that has them is a 92-95 Civic CX/VX hatch. Newer cars have the precat style manifold like the HF manifolds. But they Pre-cat and manifold are 1 piece. You would have to chop off the cat inorder to use it.

This manifold is off a 93 Civic CX/VX, notice it has a "L" on the #4 runner.

The HF, Std, & Civic CX/VX from top to bottom. As you can see there really is hardly any difference in the manifolds. The STD has the largest runners, and the HF/CX manifolds are nearly identical.

No markings on the HF manifold.

The STD manifold has the number three imprinted on runner #4

These manifolds are perfect for turbocharging D-series Engines, The head configuration on D-series is the same on 88-00 (maybe even the new D17 will work as well) Even the odd D16a1 from eairly Integra's. I do recommend porting them to match head ports, for best performance, and using a new exhaust manifold gasket.
*Note these will not fit B-series Engines, not even close.
