So pretty much whatever we do to my ef, it fights us every step of the way.
so far we popped a head gasket at mission raceway in Mission BC, last season and we ran a personal best of 12.1@113.
So we put the car back together and its still setup on the same tune which was done on Crome 1.2 which has proven to not give us any trouble, however we fired the car up after getting ressembled on friday and its doing some weird ---- that i really need some help with.
First, for some fucked up reason it cooked the P28 thats been in the car for the past 2 years since we built the car, so i replaced it with another chipped P28 and now, whenever we start it up, drive it around and once it comes up to operating temp, it starts to act really messed up. Once its up to operating temp (190 degree F) and we shut it down, it wont start up again. we can sit there and let it crank and if it does catch, its got zero throttle response what so ever.
However, once its ice cold, it will start up and run just fine, again, until it gets to operating temp.. then we run into the same issue.
I need some help guys, i really dont know wtf is going on and im getting really sick of the headaches this thing has given me this year.
For those that need to know, the setup is as follows:
LSvtec
JE 9.0:1
scat rods
b16 head
gsr cams
JG Edelbrock manifold
log mani
Holset HY35
Greddy 50mm w/g
3" exhaust
Apexi frontmount
2.5" chargepipes
blitz bov
96lb Ford Motorsports injectors
and tuned on crome 1.2 in a P28
think thats all the info neede.

sounds like a main relay problem!! or possibley an igniter in distributor?? see if it has spark when it wont start!! if it has spark it would be main relay

Check your IAT and IACV etc plugs. They're all the same and they're placed really near each other on the harness. Check the wire colors with a Haynes wiring diagram or something. My guess is you shorted something out when you changed the HG or whatever.

hmm, i suspected the main relay and or ignitor but both were replaced when we replaced the harness last april. Will swap out the main relay and ignitor in the afternoon when i go back to work on it.
