turboedit working! datalogging help needed
Well I got turbo-edit working and was just testing it out on the NA rom, and that 2step feature is freiken awesome! The only thing that won't work for me is the datalogging. I tried both of the stock d16a6 roms with datalogging, one has a different baud rate or something (shows how much I know). But is there some special way to get the datalogging going? I tried opening up a rom, opening the datalogging window, then clicked 'start datalogging' but nothing happens. Ideas?

What is that, the cable? I had J.Davis set up this ecu for me including the datalogging cable. As for the com port there's only one on the laptop so it should be the right one? On the datalogging window it says in the bottom left "connected"...and the sticker on the cable says rtm60302

I don't know if I'm retarded or what, I just looked through ecucontrol.com and couldn't find anything on it. FIA I haven't tried ecucontrol yet...I just tried turboedit's datalogging. Is this set up compatible with it Joseph?

Re:turboedit working! datalogging help needed
It is compatible... It uses the same routine that the PGMFI members wrote into the ROMs.
All TurboEDIT, and ECUControl do is poll the ROM, and manipulate the data that the ECU sends back.

Well, I don't use ECUControl, but in TurboEDIT, click on View -> Options. Then just put a dot in what baud rate you want, then click OK.
Reconnect the datalogger, and that should be it.. No offense to Joesph's electronics skills (because we know he's a flippin' genius) but are you sure it's still assembled correctly? Did something maybe pop off during shipping?
The datalogger in TE works. There is no doubt about that. I've had numerous reports from TE users about it. There has to be something hardware related. Either the ECU, or your PC, I think.
