Default Something different: P/S rack to manual steering rack bushing

this is going into a DA integra that is being prepared for touring class racing... they were swapping out the p/s rack for a manual one out of a crx and the es bushing didn't fit the smaller diameter manual rack so i made up a split bushing out of delrin to fill the gap. i would have made a whole new bushing out of delrin that could be bolted together but local suppliers wanted $25 for a 4" piece of 2.5" round delrin! i already had the 2" so i made the sleeve instead. if it doesn't work out well i'll just make a whole new one out of aluminum.

new rack:

close up of the delrin sleeve with the es poly that fits the p/s rack:

sleeve installed, note it fits snug enough to hold itself on without falling off:

now the es poly bushing overtop:

ready to shred corners!

Why arent you to confident that will work?

I cant see that failing for any reason other than the material (never heard of it) breaking down

Whats that ---- used for or made out of?

You can give dimensions to a company like daystar and they'd pour you a poly bushing at whatever durometer you want...just FYI
