Default Cam gears for a GSR cam swap into B16....

Do I need to get teh cam gears, or will the incrase in power be som minimal form the gears on those stock cams that it would make it not worth it? I was just thinking, I know the GSR cams are better for boost with larger profiles than my B16 cams, but they ARE factory spec cams. So, I shouldnt need gears, but I want to know what you guys think....

i meen if your looking to get the most power from them.. then yeah get adjustable cam gears, and plan to spend some time on the dyno getting them dial'd in.

My friend is running the b16 gears I think. but the car isn't been finished yet so I really don't know how it runs.

Do you have both? Can you measure/compare to see if the TDC marks line up and the keyways?

Havent been around in a while guys. Yes, those are the cams you sold me. I want them in ASAP, but I've been thinking that maybe I dont erally need to buy adjustable gears since they are stock profile cams. IMO 5hp isnt worth $250 cam gears at the moment. I can just turn up teh boost a point

From what I have read All DOHC Vtec cam gears will work on all DOHC Vtec Cams. I want to use my B16 Cam gears on teh GSR cams.........

dude it isnt even worth putting the usdm gsr cams in your jdm b16 when it comes to price, time, shitty results.
the reason the gsr puts out more power is becouse it has one of the best b-series heads ever made and it is a 1.8l and with that is only has 10 more hp

now on the other hand if you have jdm gsr cam in like a usdm b16 you will probally see 4 or 5 hp but unless you are getting these cam's for dirt cheap i just dont think it is worth it

that is just my .02
