Custom built 2ZZ-GE Turbo kit!
Hi 'm building right now a custom turbo kit that gos on a Toyota Corolla XRS 2005! I have done the turbo manifold today here is what it look like!!
Here is the flanges and the collector.
This is the room i got to play!
Here is the manifold in the fitting process.
And here it is completed!
Another one.
Here is what it look like with the turbo attached to it ! It is really tight!
It is now completely fitted and ready to tig weld i will be doing this tomoroww in the morning i will post some other pics soon!
By the way there is a Gt28R turbocarger to go in there!

Re: Custom built 2ZZ-GE Turbo kit!
The setup is:
Engine Toyota 2ZZ-GE Engine (11.5:1 Compression) The car run alway on 94octane gaz!
I have got aq CCA 24X6X3 Intercooler
Since the VVTI cam lift use a closed loop control, i can't go with a Standalone engine management
so i have use the PerfectPower SMT6 to control the timing and 2 X 550CC Precision injectors.
I have a TurboXS blow off valve.
I'm planning to put 7psi it should put abour 240-260 whp depending if i can put it on the dyno before the winter!

Re: Custom built 2ZZ-GE Turbo kit!
That'S only because i don't need it to be in stainless at all, this manifold isn't visible from the engine bay, and this is cedule 40 piping so it will never break! And in strainless i need a tig welder! and i don't have one i have a mig! This is one my friend who will tig weld it and if i want it in stainless, i will have to pay him all the process only to make some tac!

Re: Custom built 2ZZ-GE Turbo kit!
That looks awsome!!!
I love my PP SMT-6!
You know vvt works by sending oil pressure from an OPS to the vvt sprocket to spin it. You can do original vvt-i (0* advance, or 30* advanced) by just triggering the OPS via a relay through your orange wire relay trigger.
You can accomplish vvt-i (0 through 30* advance) by pulsing the OPS solenoid.
That's the only difference.
You could use an injector controller to pulse an OPS! (With lots of tuning~!)
If you swapped to an SMT-7, you could upgrade the injectors & retune the lambda to keep thes tock ECU happy. Then use the injector driver to try to do your own vvt-i.
You would also have the neat stuff like wideband based lambda tuning, PWM bleed valve boost control, launch control, SMT-7 based closed-loop, 3 triggerable outputs, 3 analog tuning maps (I would do MAF + oxygens ensor + road speed sensor)
and all the toher goodies.
I wish I could swap to a 7. :\ Only downside of the 7's is that their injector drivers is weaker. The 6's can drive one low imp, or 6*16ohm. The 7's can just drive the 1 high imp injector. (so just buy a large injector, or use analog+lambda+large injector tuning)

Re: Custom built 2ZZ-GE Turbo kit!
Ok so here is a little update to what have been done.
Installed the 2 550CC injectors, installed the MAF sensor in the piping, and fitted the charge pipe from the TB to the intercooler and installed the intercooler at is place! So here is some pictures of it!
