Default Exhaust

I'm trying to budget out my turbo project and dont know what to do for exhaust.
By the time I install it, I will have a welder, so I plan on doing it myself.

I will be using a DSM 02 housing and 2.5" after that.
How much will all the piping cost me?
How many hangars will I need and where can I get them?

I will probably just use a cheap turbo muffler.

Do you guys think it would be worth it for me to just take it to an exhaust shop instead?
How much would I expect to pay there?

Thanks

do it yourself. exhaust shop will do crush bends and charge more. If you can find a supplier locally, you will be set.

just get a pace setter and put on a descent muffler... nice mandrel bends with flanges and hangers for like $200 shipped.

i've been running the pacesetter for 5+ years no problem. very quiet, but the muffler is the choke point for turbo cars. i'm only using it cuz i paid around $65 new, and yes i cut the fugly tip off. i would only recommend that exhaust for n/a setup and only if you get it for less than $150.
you can make your own 2.5 or 3" for the same price.

Just run 2.5" open pipe. I say mufflers are for pussies, and I will keep saying it until I install one.

i'm rockin OBX 2.5" on my EF, its actually a nice exhaust
there is a bottle neck where the axle back bolts up, took 10 min to weld in a 2" long pipe with a flange to take care of it

i'm rolling n/a without a cat right now and its sounds pretty good, extremely loud, but good

$225 shipped e-ghey style

I actually went to an exhaust shop and had them mock up the whole system, everything I needed included bending the pipes and cutting them, supplying the hangers and the cheapest muffler they had. They did eveything except weld the ---- up for 100 even.
