Maybe too much oil pressure?

Maybe too much oil pressure?
First off, i would like to say hi to everyone on this forum.
Okay, my problem is, i have had 2 different turbos on my car, i bought them used, and the owners said they worked correctly.I was just reading another thread about oil pressure causing the turbo to leak/smoke.... I dont believe i have a buildup inside my turbo, all the lines are straight, or bent with NO kinks. The Oil feed is the normal size ( i picked it up at a local shop, he said it was turbo lines, which is steel braided) .. The oil return is on top of the pan, not on very top, but close to it... The oil return line isnt too big, kinda small in a way. Could this be causing it to spill out both sides of the turbo? It leaks out the hot and cold sides of the turbo.. . I bought a brand new turbo because im thinking it was just the turbo that was fucked up.... But any comments/ thoughts will help.. BTW, this is on a 00' B16a2.
Thanks!

Re: Maybe too much oil pressure?
Im guessing you dont have a oil pressure gauge?
Im gonna guess youre running a -4 line and with the 80+ psi B series like to put out and with such a large feed line and your small (thinner than the feed?) Id say some oil is definetely being forced past the seals.
Theres quite a few ways to solve this, would help if you knew exactly what you had

Re: Maybe too much oil pressure?
holy christ that oil return is small? what is that 3/8ths? You need to get a large oil return, nothing smaller than 1/2in
Common size returns are 5/8 - 3/4
No wonder your pissing oil everywhere!

Re: Maybe too much oil pressure?
Well your gonna need to replace the fitting in the pan too! like I said, atleast 1/2in
here are a few pics
The fitting on the pan
The fitting on the turbo (you can get these at tunertoys.com)
And the return, its a nice smooth return, the hose is preshaped.. found it at the junkyard off some heaterhose.
You get the idea, there are more in the TURBO PROJECTS section,
Jeff
