is my oil pressure too high????
my mechanical oil pressure gauge sometimes reads up to 87 psi. it's attached with a 1/8" nylon tube to the back of the block where the turbo lines tap in. i know the oil pressure at the turbo is supposed to be 70 psi max... so is my gauge an accurate reading of that? should i find some way to lower my oil pressure? or change oil type? i run 10w30 mobil 1 right now...
any advice would be appreciated.

Youve only got 8psi at idle when warmed up? Thats pretty ------- low dude, oil light comes on with under 4.5 and serious damage goes on then, ask my motor how I know
87 is sky high, 70psi at the turbo will kill it quick, 8 psi at idle aint great
Id say something is wrong

As in the kids car is about to explode or something?
How bad is him driving it now for his turbo?
Forgive me for asking Berminator's questions for him.. I drive the car regularly and care for its well-being..
