^ i dont wanna screen it cuz i want to put 2 nipples on there to put vac hoses to. so thats the reason i dont wanna screen it. i dont care if the filter is mushroom shaped, thats just the one i bought of egay for like 10 bucks. but the problem with buying a new one is one i dont have the money, and 2 i dont have the time. i should be gettin my z6 intake mani on monday or tuesday and i should be installing it sometime next week, then i will take the car down to the muffler shop and have them fab me a dp, and their doin my ic piping too.

so all i wanna know is if jb weld will hold on the coupler. if nobody has any input, ill just try it. and ill let you guys know how useful jb weld really is. but i would like to know before hand if anyone knows

thanx

I'd say Jigga Boo Weld that thing. Should work. We'll see.

ok so i am just gonna jb weld some fittings on there, but what do you guys think of this way to setup the air filter. i was realizing i was having a little bit of clearance problems with the way my hood was closing.

i have never seen anyone mount their air filter right here so i was just makin sure there arent any reason as to why it would be ineffective.

^ its got a good 3 inches away from the turbo and its right behind the ic, so it should still get some air flow. im just gonna try it like that, worst that will happen is ill melt the thing and pay $10 shipped on ebay for a new different filter.

Do it then. If the that filter is so cheap put it there and melt that sucker. Then buy a normal non-JDM one and run it like I showed you.
