Ok, I am a NOOB and need some advice and some help with questions...
Ok, I just recently got myself a 1994 Acura integra RS. It's the b18b motor. Since it's not VTEC, it will be almost pointless to do anything other than forced induction, so this is the way I'm going to go. I am extremely new at this, but I have been doing research about this for the last three weeks. I am buying a holset turbo and manifold, along with 440 injectors, resistor box (what does that do?) and oil lines, and some intercooler piping from a guy on the internet. He says the piping will fit an EG chassis, and that I may be able to use them. Is my my chassis an EG? Also, I was intsructed to get a hondata fuel management system, with this, I won't need a fuel pressure regulator correct? I need to make this as safe a set up as possible with the least amount of problems since this is my daily driver, but I don't want to spend an assload of money. I am only planning on boosting up to 8 psi. Is it going to ---- me any if I don't buy the best waste gate and BOV? I really don't want to spend 200 plus dollars if a 50 dollar one will do. Also, how bad will a turbo be for my motor if driven moderatly. I have no real intention on racing all the time, or taking it to the track or whatever, I just want some get up and go if I need it. Also, how bad will the increase in horsepower effect my tranny? What about if lets say I was in 5th going 70 mph, and then wanted to go and down shifted to 4th, will that still be ok? I don't wanna rip up my gears. Stock clutch and fly wheel. Can I still use the stock ones after the turbo is installed with no problems. I am eventually gonna change them out, but it wont be for a while after I get the turbo. Also, what horsepower will I be looking at boosting to 8 psi? Well thanks in advance . Ramsey.

Don't need a FPR, correct.
You can cheap out on the WG and BOV (however, WG's are kind of important to regulate boost)
Moderately driven, it will be reliable. Don't be a jackass and it will be fine.
Power has nothing to do with downshifting because you're not accelerating at that point... the only variable you need to take into account when asking about downshifting is how fast you're going. Drive it like you do now and it'll be fine.
HP can vary a lot by a lot of different things, such as your TUNING, exhaust (making sure it's not restrictive), as well as some other things, but those are kind of important.
The only reason why I responded is because I'm nice... too nice. Don't make any more posts like the last one you made or nobody is going to want to help you.
You're right about the search function, but still... you can figure a lot of that stuff out by a little more effort. Good luck.

Searching is an all encompassing word......it means to also browse over the post of others asking questions and look at old *** posts also, I can count on one hand the questions I've asked here, they are not kidding when they say "it's been asked before" I've read ---- date 2003. and the info is still valid.
I read your whole post and I actually feel dumber for it.
