Default problems already.

ok so i got my ls turbo setup going and it was running good for about 2 days with ecception to the ic pies blowing off all the time. it made good boost and power from what i could tell. anyway. i have theis huge overheating problem. it will stay cool for a while but once i get on it. it will start to overheat, im pretty sure the headgasket is blown. im blowing out white smoke and hit 15 psi on accident a few times. what do you guys think? oh and its just a 2-5 radiator for now. and it sounds like crap. like its on three cylinders in the lower rpms, let me know if you could help with any of this.

How much boost are you running? How do you know what kind of power you are/were making? I am guessing there was no dyno or tuning in involved.

Most likely you have a blown HG. How do you hit 15psi on accident?

im running a 10 psi tune with a worthless wastegate. it would just stay apen the whole time so i just used a block of plate so once i hit 10 psi in first i shift to second and its already at 10 psi basicly so im dumb and go over 10 on accedent. my car blew out white smoke before the turbo. not alot but enough. idk. im gonna get a new head gasket. what would be the best one? i heard cometic ones are good. oh and im just refering to how much the car pulls when in boost. thats why i would ussumeits making good power.

So it sounds like you are running a base-map and I am still not clear on your wastegate set-up.

Stock Honda HG is the way to go IMO.

ok cool. ill get a stock one then. my wastegate is a xs power 38mm external with a 6.somthin random psi spring in it. and wehn i start the car it just opens right away and lets all the boost out. i have the bottom vaccume sorce to the intake manifold t'd off with the boost guage. and the top vaccume sorce is just open. lmk what the deal is and if i did it wrong

well the couplers havent been a problem for about a day now. i will try the spart plug idea right now to see any differances. but im running a vafc for tuning and retarded the timeing at the distributor. and the car dident overheat before the turbo. it just after it was put on. i actually worked some things out and drove it today and it dident overheat. so we will see about that. but forst i need to work out theis running like crap problem. im gonna pull the plugs right now and then do a compression check tomorrow.

I think that's your wastegate problem right there. Aren't you supposed to hook the vacuum line up to the top hookup on the wastegate, and not the bottom one? the top one should be the one that pushes the actuator down.
