Stock H22 Boost

Stock H22 Boost
I'm going to boost my H22 in my 92 civic. I dont know a great deal about turbo's but I'm having it tuned I just need to know the gear to buy to make it possible, I have the idea and concept underway. Looking for around 340-380whp and 270-310wtq. It's been dyno proven to be able to on stock internals. Just looking for some pointers on what to buy. What size intercooler would be best fit Size wise and inlet /outlet sizes?, What size charge piping would I want to go with from turbo to intercooler and intercooler to intake manifold? What type of WasteGate?, Bov?, And the size of the Down pipe. I have a rough idea, just like to see what u folks think.
Thanks
Kyle

Heres a setup I did on my ex-gf's civic, The JRC and CCA 6-8in intercoolers both work pretty good on 92+ civics, I'd go with 2.5in Charge piping, and you dont have to do a ball bearing turbo (like shown above) For 350whp on a stock internal'd motor, I'd definatly go with a SC61, downpipe can be 2.5 or 3.0 just make sure it has a flex section in it.
Do some reading through the turbo projects, do a couple of searchs and you will find what you are looking for,
welcome to hmt =)

Do not skimp on tuning, Highly suggest using either Hondata, Uberdata or Crome(find a good tuner local, use what he uses)
You'll probably need 550cc injectors if not bigger. Good luck, I'm working on a H22 turbo build myself.

So using 2 1/2" mandrel bent charge pipe is fine on both sides of the intercooler, 3" down pipe and full exhaust straight threw is fine?.
Now my question is Can I go to big on an intercooler in dimention wise, too think, long, and tall? or is it just more cool air, more power?
For this amount of power, is there a curtain level of a BOV I will have to purchase, I've read upgrading to a bigger BOV. Or will any Greddy or reg. BOV do the trick?
AS for the Wastegate, Is there a type sold that is adjustable rather then changing out the springs each time I want to up the level of boost?
What Size turbo have you chosen ?

The only downside to a large intercooler is pressure drop, as long as you get one that fits in your car I don't think you will have a whole lot of problems.
BOV are for preferance, I don't think you even really need one, but for the sound I'm getting a HKS SSQV(I'm a ricer). but you can get a bypass valve for practicly nothing.
For controlling boost, you want a spring that is below the lowest amount you wannago , but you don't really want to run twice the amount of load on the spring, and a boost controller(manual or electronic) will controll the amount of boost above the predetermined amount of the spring.
I'm will be using a T3/T4 .63ar cold/.82ar hot
I must admit though, 380 is pushin it, can be done but be ready if it goes out, have some cash on the side for a engine rebuild, best of luck to you though, post up soem dyno #'s when you get it done.

30" x 10" x 3" vs 30" x 6" x 3"
Any large down fall using either sized intercooler?
The People that will be Tuning it have inpressed me, otherwise I wouldn't be so convicenced in boosting my h22 hatch. I don't think I know anyone else around my location that can tune aswell. Right now untuned with 1.8 GSR fuel maps up 5% with the p28 with Uberdata running my H22 in the hatch puts down 180whp and 154wtq. However I do know a motor doesn't last for ever and the amount of power increase turboing it with their tune makes me wounderwhy build. Building a motor just don't seem like the thing I would want to do with the power that can be made. New H22 $1000, proper motor build top to bottom anywhere from $2000-8000 could be endless.

And sounds like any intercooler I find that is best fit for my vehicle is fine with 2 1/2" inlet/outlet ?
