So nothing different about using different BOV's ?
What Wastegate are decent or are they all seem to be pretty much good as far as external 38m or 40 mm ones go? Is there a huge difference in other or sizes? Make a mechanical boost controller to raise the boost and that will eb fine ?
You guys seem to be a great help. Thank you muchly for the help and clear ups so far.

Re: Stock H22 Boost
I am going with Tial, don't fall for the fake "Tail" ones, 38mm should be fime depends on the neck on your manifold.
Those homemade bc will work but sometimes there are problems with boost creep in high boost applications.

Re: Stock H22 Boost
Congrats on your project!!
I turbocharged a few Civic H22 until now.
REgardless of the car it's in, the H22 can easily make 250 WHP with 6-8 psi but with good tuning and all the right components, 300 WHP is possible. 350 is pushing it IMO.
You can easily use immitation wastegates, blow off and even some bar and plate intercooler copies. They do work well. But stay away from immitation turbos and get a real management. these are the things you don'T cut corners short on. GOOD LUCK!!
Here are some quick pictures of my last 3 civic H22 that I did. Just to give you some inspiration!

Re: Stock H22 Boost
Brand new Garrett/Air Research T3/T04 Turbo unit. It has a an A/R of .60 on the intake side with a measurement of 2.75 inches. The compressor is 2 inches and the exhaust side opening is 3" with an A/R of 1.00. This turbo is good for up to 600 hp
Flage for manifodl is a T4
There are the specs.
Anyone think it will work good on the H22 ?
Anyone ever use this turbo before ?
Is this going to work half decent just from the specs of it ?
Less Restriction on flow of exhaust more free flow, less lag or do i got it backwards ?>

Re: Stock H22 Boost
That's a T04B V trim.
This compressor is excellent for the H22. It's able of 425 HP easy.. 500 if you push it...Not 600.
However, that turbine side is too large.
I am using a T4 turbine 0.68 a/r on my H22 and spool up is slow. I had to get used to it.
Your's is 1.00 a/r. It's gonna be much worst.
IF it was for an all forged engine and LOTS of power, I would say give it a try. I bet it's a twin scroll turbine so to make it spool quicker, you could try running Two wastegates and isolate cyl 1-3 from 2-4.
But for a stock h22, I would definitely suggest to get this turbo upgraded with a t31 0.63 a/r turbine so you don't need a calendar to measure your lag... If you absolutely want to remain T4 turbine, I have some with much lower a/r's like 0.48 and 0.58.
