First of all all my cars have been Si's except for my maxima which i drive now but im more than positive that your coupe is not a SI only h/bs from 92-95 and why would you paint the intake mani black? are you trying to make it hotter by atractting heat with the black paint???? :6

Chances are a THIN layer of matt black paint would help radiate any heatsoak present in the manifold, but that will vary with the paint type.
Conduction : paint makes it worse Radiation : matt black paint might make it better Stupid thing to be discussing in the mans thread anyway. |

As always... Leave it to the Fred to turn the discussion gay...
I challenge you to prove me wrong..... Paint in no way is going to help a heatsoaked manifold dissapate heat. PERIOD.It will hold it in, regardless of how thin or color. Duh. As for it CREATING heat... It wont, unless it has direct contact with light. At least you poinrtewd toward matte black (which isnt smooth and has more surface area)... however thehat is not offset by the paint covering the manifold.... Maybe it behaves differently down there... But you wont ever see a race engine builder do it... Wonder why???? I actually cant believe youre even arguing it. FIGURED youd know better. Save the cut and paste..... Not interested. In the least. |

630 WHP four door??
LOL.. Im not bashing you for painting it,. do what ya like... But for some idiot to say it will dissapate heat faster than it NOT being painted... They could fill that box with aids... quickly... |
