5psi, he should be good. what the hell kind of waste is 5psi for a $2,000 greddy kit though. a whopping 30-40 more whp.
just link him to here. (im not registering to tell this dumb ---- what a waste of $2,000 he just spent) at least he has a turbo though...right? :P
to the dipshit...
if you wanna get some real boost out of that motor, switch to uberdata or chrome, run some 450's and boost the living ---- out of it. you are looking at about $300 total if you D.I.Y. maybe a little more if you have someone help you -and a well tuned motor that will last you for a long time of happy boosting.
that FMU or the hack just isnt gonna work....or rather itwill work but... thats very old skool, and not worth it when you have full stand alone systems out there you can get for practically free thats 10x's better.

There is no talking to those retards. Its funny because the guys in the post that ask the questions are emailing me asking for help because it seems I know what I am doing.

1) the greddy kit was $700 purchased used.
2) i had never owned a turbo car, didn't know the first thing about turbos
3) i had never heard of this site
4) i had never owned a honda
with those factors alone, and a friend selling the greddy turbo kit at a discounted rate, that was the best available option. if you don't know the first thing about turbos and stuff, you're not going to build a home-made kit and program your own ECU... its just NOT in the cards guys, so deal with it. ok, lets fast forward a little bit. the greddy kit gets put on the car.... so AFTER the kit is already on the car,
1) i hear about this site, i come here asking some questions and get flamed to hell for purchasing the greddy kit.
at no point did anyone stop to think "hey, maybe there is a good reason this guy ended up with the greddy kit". you guys think everyone knows about this site? you think everyone knows everything right off the bat? a very un-warm welcome. later, when i listed the circumstances of how i came across the greddy kit, i get an earful of "well you should have built your own kit, blah blah blah". come guys, you can't be serious? you expect a complete newbie to just piece together their own kit from scratch with no idea or references? the kit was already purchased, so deal with it....
and about what i'm going to do - you let me worry about that. the problem is, i am the "dipshit" you are referring to, yet your comments are not about anything i said i would do but rather what people in the thread suggested. SO... obviously you didn't read it properly. AT NO POINT was an FMU or AFC hack even on my radar.... I already have purchased a set of 450 DSMs and am looking for a p28. i have already decided to go that route. yes, thats right.... going from knowing nothing of turbos to trying to program my own ECU.
you know what though? HMT was of no help. n00bs here just get an earful of "read the FAQs" or "do your own research"..... what the ---- is the point of the forum if you guys aren't going to help people? explain that one to me. i came here as a complete n00b once, and did NOT KNOW WHAT to search for. not to mention the greddy question i had was definitely NOT in your FAQs.
Look guys, if you are all about making your own turbo systems, thats fine. whatever. to each his own. but if someone has a turbo system and has questions, there is no reason why you shouldn't answer if you know the answer. if you feel like being dicks, then don't post in his thread. might as well just have a sign hanging up on the homepage saying "if you don't already know your ----, go away". seriously.
d-series may not have the technical expertise this place does, but the people there aren't afraid to talk to you and help. you don't get any "stupid n00b" comments there.
and csaddict - i had no problem with your posts except for the claim that running 7 psi on my stock injectors would ---- up my motor. it may not be good, but hey, and you guys go ahead and flame me because i used the "G" word, i called Greddy when i purchased this used kit (with no instructions) and they told me the whole spiel on it. Greddy kits for '96-'99 cars are internally wastegated at 7 lbs supposedly, and thats on stock injectors. look, i think its cool that you came over to try and help people - thats awesome. but don't be a dick about it. don't post a bunch of stuff trying to help people over there, then run back here to your e-boys and start talking smack. that is classless.
go ahead, insult and flame away. i really care. and no i'm not going to post a link to this thread over on d-series to try to get people to talk smack. come on guys, grow up, seriously.
