my opinion, not trying to change minds:

organized religion is just an achaic form of control. in the time before electronic communication, and even wide ------ literacy, the only thing you had to go on is what the person at the pulpit told you.

what a mindboggling scam that is. fyi the catholic church is THE largest property holder in the world. look it up.


through the many lesson i suffered though at sunday school, the main message i got from my lutheran church:

fear god, but love him too. keep your nose own and work hard your whole life, and be happy that you get to do that much.

for me its all a crock of ----.

45psi, in Church they tell you to "fear" God a lot, but don't tell you the context the use the word fear... We think of fear as being afraid of something, like we should fear God for he will surely strike us down and all that stuff :l But what they were really trying to say was this:

So they were saying respect God, don't be scared of God. They never do quite clarify that though.

see thats exactly why i dont follow christianity. Because most (not all sinister) are hypocrits and have all these rules that dont make sense and are hard to follow. you basically have to be perfect to follow the ten commandments. And if you ---- up all you have to do is say "forgive me god" and you can go to heaven. I can kill a 4 year old girl and still go to heaven.

If he didn't ment fear just respect they should simply just say "Respect God" not "Fear"
