The ideal Corrado is a G60 chassis with an mk4 vr6, since the G60 chassis is lighter with tighter suspension and steering than the vr6 version. Whatever guys, different strokes for different folks. Just because a geo metro with a gnx powerplant and nitrous is fast, doesn't mean it's worth a ----.

The whole VW scene gets made fun of for the same reason you got banned from your VW forum. They're all prissy ------- fagots who care about nothing but dressing their car up like Malibu Barby. Don't even bother trying to S/C an mk3 unless you want to change out the tranny ever few weeks or pop in a mk4 tranny. Those mk3 trannies are complete ------- garbage and die under regular 2.0 power. Droping the car, stretching 165's over 8 inch wide wheels with a 4 inch lip makes you a homo, no matter who it is. Remeber, HMT = Goin' for function, no frontin'. That being said, I believe a friend and I are starting a project on boosting a mk2 diesel golf here in a few weeks. It should be up on here when it goes down.

I don't get the tire stretching ----. I've seen countless VWs blow out stretched out tires like that.. 2.slow ftl... unless you turbo it but you can turbo anything and make it decent. Still it's kind of sad when a B7 civic can keep up with a 2.slow golf.

My buddy has a GT28RS Unitronics tuned, eurojet SMIC, 3"exhaust bunch of other ----. he put 278whp.

300K mile Civic hatch. It was given to me wrecked four years ago, I've put $250 into repairs and maintainence for it over the last 120K, and it's been up and down the eastern seaboard a couple dozen times. I'm leaving for PRI in Orlando tomorrow afternoon and I can tell you now it won't break or leave me stranded.

Pre-99 Toyotas are similarly infaillable. If you don't care for Honduhs you should go that direction when you come to your senses and ditch your german failure wagon.

I understand the 2.5 Passat/Jetta is a relaible new VW, and I admit I don't know a whole lot about the TDIs, but I really don't like the way newer VWs have gone. If I had to have an efficiency diesel passenger car I'd go with an old Rabbit... if you can find the things, most people who owned them 10-15 years ago knew what they had and wouldn't come off them.

Whatever HP I was pushing wasn't the point of my reply. The point was that the 18t trannies don't suck that bad but the diffs are ----. If you put a quaiffe or pelquin in them they are tuff as nails and a gt28rs should put down WAY more than 280whp.

Thats 100 HP over stock at 21 psi on a gt28rs with stock internals.

Sounds about right to me.

I've never heard of someone blowing a tranny in a mkiv, another friend of mine has a gt3071r running 18 psi, stock internals, putting down low 300's with a tdi tranny.
