cam seal replacement
Today I decided to replace my leaky OEM cam seal but in the process I realized that I need to take the last part of the cam of witch has to bolts. So my question is what are the torque specs. for putting them back.

Re:cam seal replacement
Ok, you can sneak cam seals out without ------- doing the whole timing belt like your suppose to.
-Bring the Engine to TDC
-Mark the Belt to the cam gear (with touchup paint or whatever)
-Now zip tie the belt to the cam gears (yes both of them) I use 4-6 zip ties.
-Now loosen the cam bolts (not sure if you have to take the intake cam gear off too, might have to. I usually just do them both.
-Now slide 1 gear off at a time, be VERY careful doing this so you dont drop the keyway down the front side of the engine.
-Now the gear is off replace the cam seal. Besure to clean the head real good where the seal is at.
-Lightly lube the inside of the cam seal
-Lightly put silicone on 2 sides of the seal
-Put the seal back into place, be sure the seal is sitting straight, & make sure the spring didnt pop off on the seal.
- Now re-install its a bit tricky
I am the master of doing this ----, because I hate doing timing belts, especially if ya got AC/PS.
