well the filter holder is right on top of the sensor so there's not enough room to get the socket on

You should be able to get a socket in there, there are a few coolant lines in that area but try to push them aside, it's a bitch but it can be done.

are the lines that run into the filter "holder" actuall coolant lines. i heard the zc had an oil cooler but i didn't know that was it. anyway, a good chunk of the sensor is under the "cooler" and thus making it impossible to get anything around it....even with the engine out.

There shouldn't be anything in the way of you getting to the oil sensor, You should be able to stick a long socket in there and get it off. If you've got the engine out it should be cake. If you can, take some pictures so we know what your talking about.

no, it's duel. there is also another sensor that is just to the left of the oil sensor. i haven't hooked it up. i think it is a temp sensor. if maybe it has something to do with the oil sensor i can get to it easily. i bought it off of some kid so it might not be stock.

Are you sure you know which sensor is the oil pressure sensor? It is right above the oil filter, it's pretty deep in there, it has a black boot covering a wire going to it, you pull off the wire and then take off the big sensor part with a deep socket.
